Air Fryer Tempura Vegetables

The air fryer makes it easy to cook tempura vegetables. With this formula you can create your own customized tempura-battered veggies by using different vegetables, seasonings, and dipping sauces.

Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 cup plain seltzer water
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cups vegetables
  • Purchased DIPPING SAUCE, for serving

  1. Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Beat egg whites in a bowl until frothy. Whisk in seltzer water until combined. Whisk in flour, SEASONING, salt, and pepper until batter forms.
  3. Coat basket with cooking spray. Dip VEGETABLES into batter until coated; allow excess to drip off. Working in batches if needed, arrange vegetables in an even layer in basket. Cook until golden brown, about 7 minutes. Serve with DIPPING SAUCE.
