Mustard Sauce for Corned Beef
This tangy, sweet mustard sauce for corned beef is super easy to prepare with basic pantry ingredients and will complete your St. Patrick's Day meal.

- 1½ tablespoons salted butter
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup white sugar
- ¼ cup prepared yellow mustard
- 1 large egg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¾ cup cider vinegar

- Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat; remove from heat.
- Whisk together brown sugar, white sugar, mustard, egg, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. Whisk in vinegar until well combined. Stir mixture into melted butter in the saucepan.
- Stir sauce over medium heat until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 3 minutes more.
