New Strack & Van Til partnership makes grocery pickup and delivery a snap
When the folks at Strack & Van Til say they want to make customers’ lives easier, they mean business. Not only can shoppers order their groceries online through Strack & Van Til To Go, but EBT SNAP participants can now use their benefits to do so.

Can’t get to the grocery store? Let the groceries come to you in as little as two hours or schedule your delivery days in advance with Strack & Van Til To Go. You’ll get same-day home delivery, powered by Instacart. Plus, EBT SNAP participants can take advantage of easy online ordering and home delivery, thanks to the USDA Food and Nutrition Service’s recent approval of a Strack & Van Til and Instacart SNAP online partnership.

EBT SNAP benefits are accepted when shopping for fresh food and pantry staples online at delivery.strackandvantil.com or with the Instacart mobile app. Groceries may be ordered for curbside pickup or home delivery and the service is available at 21 Strack & Van Til store locations across Northwest Indiana.

To shop online, simply create an account with your email address and a unique password. If you have an EBT food card, enter the card’s information as a form of payment in your profile. For non-food items such as taxes, tips and fees, federal SNAP guidelines require a secondary form of payment. Enter your ZIP code to see which Strack & Van Til store is nearest you and let the shopping begin.

Search the site for specific products, scroll through trending items and offers or browse by department. Choose an item and your desired quantity and select a replacement item in case yours is sold out. You can even provide special instructions to your shopper. Click on savings to see digital coupons and special offers available only online, and those savings will be applied automatically at checkout.

Click on the grocery cart to check out, enter an address for delivery and choose the day and time you’d like to receive your order. You can even select the “leave at my door” option if you won’t be home or want contactless delivery. For pickup, choose your store and pickup time. Then enter your payment information and confirm. If you’re an EBT SNAP customer, you can select how much of your benefits you want to use for your order. A local shopper will hand-pick your groceries and deliver them to your door.

“As an added bonus, Instacart will waive delivery or pickup fees through Sept. 16, 2021, on up to the first three EBT SNAP orders for each customer with a valid EBT card associated with their Instacart account,” says Chief Marketing & Merchandising Officer Michael Tyson. “Convenient shopping online with Strack & Van Til To Go and accepting EBT SNAP payments for online ordering are more ways that Strack & Van Til makes customers’ lives easier by feeding them.”
