Stuffing is one of the top selected sides around Thanksgiving. Our Herbed Stuffing recipe is sure to have all your guests asking for second and third helpings of this timeless classic.

INGREDIENTS
5 cups of bread, cubed
4 tbsp butter
1 large onion, diced
3 celery stalks, diced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
6 fresh thyme leaves, stems removed
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1 1/2 cup Clearly by Best Choice Chicken Broth
1 Clearly by Best Choice Egg, whisked
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp Clearly by Best Choice Ground Pepper

DIRECTIONS

Preheat your oven to 350°F.

Cut the bread into 1-inch cubes and place them on a baking sheet to dry. Use a mix of white and wheat bread, if desired.

Let bread dry out overnight or for at least 5 hours.

Add 4 tbsps of butter to a large sauté pan and heat over medium heat.

Add onions, celery, and garlic to the sauté pan, then season with salt and pepper. Cook for 7 to 10 minutes or until onions are tender.

Once dry, place the breadcrumbs in a large mixing bowl. Add the sautéed veggies to the bowl and toss to combine.

Whisk the egg in a small bowl until well beaten, and then mix in the chicken broth.

Pour the broth and egg mixture over the top of the stuffing. Stir all ingredients to distribute evenly.

The breadcrumbs should be soft, not soggy. However, depending on the bread you use, the breadcrumbs might need additional broth.

Grease an 8 x 8 baking dish with Clearly by Best Choice pan spray.

Pour the prepared stuffing mixture into the dish and cover it with foil.

Bake the stuffing for 30 minutes, then remove the foil, and continue baking for another 20 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
