Health Benefits of an Air Fryer

An air fryer offers the texture, taste and golden-brown crunch of a deep-fried favorite. Many people love air fryers because they help food achieve that familiar crunch and chewy center without all the fat and calories. Air fryers are a kitchen appliance about the size of a coffee maker that sits on your counter. Hot air circulates quickly inside the unit to help create the crispy, brown coating. Some of the easiest foods to air fry are potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, chicken, zucchini and fish.  Another popular way to use an air fryer is to heat frozen precooked foods. Chicken nuggets, tater tots, spring rolls and bite-size frozen foods crisp up nicely in an energy efficient manner. An air fryer can eliminate the lengthily oven preheat time. The small units preheat within one or two minutes and cook time is usually 10-12 minutes.  Whether you fry foods in an air fryer or with regular oil it’s most important to prioritize portion control and balance. Having adequate protein, vegetables and whole grains is the best way to feel full and satisfied. Â
