Craving a cheeseburger? The Strack & Van Til Meat & Seafood Department has cheddar or Swiss and mushrooms pub burgers. Step up your cheeseburger game with cheddar bacon pub burgers, made with Wisconsin cubed cheddar cheese and bacon.
“This is the perfect marriage of burger, cheese and bacon,” notes Meat & Seafood Department Director Gary Teachman. “If you like an extra kick, Pepper Jack bacon pub burgers are sure to please.”
Black Pepper burgers are a Strack & Van Til classic, and if you want something different, try Blue Cheese pub burgers and mozzarella Italian burgers.
For an alternative to beef, enjoy Buffalo turkey pub burgers made with spicy turkey, and Spinach Feta turkey burgers. Or opt for freshly made salmon burgers in Zesty Dill, Cajun, Spinach Feta and Garlic Parmesan varieties.
The Strack & Van Til Meat Department also offers bratwurst and 20 varieties of sausage, made from the finest ingredients, including fresh pork butt and signature seasonings.
Sausage options include mild or hot Italian, holiday Italian with Italian cheese and onions, old-fashioned potato, apple, Andouille and Siracha Pepper Jack Andouille sausages.
Bratwurst selections include regular, cheddar, bacon cheddar, Jalapeño or beer bratwurst made with a seasonal beer favorite.
For a lighter option try mild or hot Italian turkey sausage, chicken sausage, Feta cheese and spinach chicken sausage and blazing buffalo chicken sausage.
Hot and mild Italian beef sausages are a beef lover’s favorite. Reuben sausage is made from corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss cheese. (Reuben sausage and other varieties are available on a seasonal basis only.)
Kabobs are skewered fresh daily in the Strack & Van Til Meat Department and include a protein and fresh bell peppers and onions.
Meat kabobs are made with USDA Choice center-cut top butt, hand-trimmed fresh natural chicken and Smithfield Prime pork tenderloin.
Seafood kabob options include shrimp, farm-raised Atlantic salmon or tuna. Many Strack & Van Til stores have a grill in the Seafood Department and can grill your kabobs for you.
Complement your grilling favorites with new side salads from the Strack & Van Til Deli. Zesty Pickle Campanelle salad is made with zesty diced pickles, cheddar cheese and Campanelle pasta in a light creamy dressing, while Windy City sweet pepper salad includes fresh green, yellow and red bell peppers with tender orzo pasta in a light, flavorful dressing.
Bang Bang Shrimp and pasta salad features shrimp, imitation crab, celery, water chestnuts and seashell pasta in creamy sweet chili garlic aioli and a splash of lime. For a bit of spice, the sour cream and cheddar mac with jalapeños salad is a real customer favorite.
Bloody Mary pasta salad includes Cavatappi pasta with tomato, celery, green olives and pepperoncini blended with Bloody Mary spices. Korean noodle salad is made with angel hair pasta, green onion, red bell pepper and gochujang, which is a sweet and spicy dressing made with red chili peppers.
“Try our classics like Our Own homestyle potato or mustard potato, deviled egg potato, premium potato or steakhouse potato salad varieties,” says Deli Department Director Kristin Snow. “Serve Asiago, spinach and pasta with fresh spinach and pine nuts or Caprese pasta salad with fresh mozzarella.”
Coleslaw options include creamy, vinegar and oil or summer slaw with fresh tomato and green pepper. And don’t forget traditional baked beans or a Texas-style mix of white, dark red kidney, red, lima and butter beans.
