Then, make your grocery list and visit your local Strack & Van Til Deli Department to purchase what you need. Follow the instructions in the video and craft your holiday masterpiece.

“Keep it simple or go all out with an extravagant charcuterie board,” says Deli Department Director Kristin Snow. “Arrange pretty layers of meats like thinly sliced prosciuttos and salamis and experience unique flavor pairings by adding a variety of cheeses and be sure to cut them in geometric shapes for eye-catching appeal.”

Firm cheese options include traditional aged cheddars, which are rich and nutty with increasing sharpness based on the length of time they’re aged. Manchego cheeses, made from sheep’s milk, have a compact consistency and a buttery texture.

Choose from creamy cheeses such as Gouda, Havarti, Brie and goat to expand your texture offerings. Gouda and Havarti are smooth, buttery and creamy with a slightly acidic flavor and pair perfectly with grapes, almonds and a Riesling wine. Available Havarti flavors include dill, horseradish and jalapeño.

Serve President’s Brie, a rich and creamy option with an earthy mushroom flavor, and goat cheeses in a variety of flavor profiles including blueberry vanilla, honey and cranberry cinnamon.

Add fresh fruits, berries or dried fruits, honeys and fruit preserves to sweeten the board, and cheese spreads, olives and bruschetta for some zest. Select specialty crackers, breads, cheese crisps and nuts to complete your spread, and complement your charcuterie with festive and seasonal wines.

Ring in the holidays and toast the New Year with a fabulous charcuterie board curated by you and find all the ingredients you need at your local Strack & Van Til Food Market.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year 2023!
